Where does the time go? 15 years of running and my first run was a 5k. Sandy ran it with me in Kingston, New Years Day. I remember how I felt and was teary that day because I felt like a runner. Yes, I am slow and didn’t matter Sandy always encouraged to try a new run and gave great advice.
Congratulations Sandy on a successful career and enjoy a well-deserved
retirement.
Tonight we ran a 10k in your honour. We ran social distancing in the country and can only say thanks for the memories and my wonderful friendships I made through running at Tri & Run Sports
Best wishes Sandy and thank you.
Congratulations Sandy! I can't believe it's been 11 years since I started my 5 km Learn to Run clinic with you! I had always envied runners so decided to give it a try! I was excited that I learned to run 5 km and then with the support and encouragement from you and all my fellow runners, I got up the courage to run 6 km, then 10 km, trained for my first half and then a full marathon! I would never have given it a thought that I could pull off a full marathon and multiple half marathons thereafter!! Thank you Sandy for all your encouragement, guidance and support with my running achievements!! Enjoy your well-deserved retirement!!
