Walking Poles

Was just wondering if any of you had ever used those walking poles that look like ski poles? I was thinking of getting my mom some for her birthday, and wanted some real opinions and feelings about them.
Thanks guys

I like your saying at the bottom of your post Janet.
Walking poles are great for increasing pace and burning extra calories. Fuelbelt carries them and we can get them in for you unless you have found a pair elsewhere.

Hey Janet. The walking poles seem to be popular, in Ganaraska they had a 12k walk, and the majority of the people were using them, looked pretty cool, they were booging along pretty good..Dave.

Hi Janet,
The walking poles are a really, really big thing in Germany, the last time I was there tons of people were using them (that was 2 years ago, I guess they are a little ahead). Anyway, they definitely burn extra calories and make you go faster.
Good luck on Sunday
