To everyone racing this weekend, I just want to wish good luck!!!

To Sandy going after that belt buckle at Sulphur Springs -- some of us will be there to cheer you on and I am sure the ones who can't be will be there in spirit!  As you are wandering in the woods we will be sending you all the positive vibes you need to get you to the finish line ( laugh  forget all the hours and hours and hours of training - the vibes will do it for you!).  I can't wait to see you sporting that belt buckle -- you DO wear it, don't you?   laugh

To Shelley and Sue who are running Ottawa!  You have a great run girls!  You are more than ready!!  We will be thinking of you at 10:15 on Sunday starting your run.  And if it is hot - remember SPONGES, SPONGES, SPONGES!  And we want a race report!  Shelley you can e-mail it to me and I will post it if you can't figure out how to post it!

To Janet who is doing the Limestone Triathlon in Kingston.  We will be thinking of you also on Sunday in your first tri of the season.  Can't wait to hear about your race!

To the rest of us doing Sulphur Springs on Saturday -- Dave Storey is doing the 25K just two weeks after doing the Ganaraska 25K (you really are whacko Dave!).   Hope you have a great race Dave, and try not to beat us 10K-ers over the finish line.  And speaking of that, there is a group of us doing the 10K there - Nancy, Patti, Cathy, Heather, me and most of all Adam, who is doing his very first 10K run - and a trail run at that!!  Have fun Adam!  Just remember, trail running is all about the food!!  Isn't it???

I hope I haven't forgotten anyone.  And if I have forgotten you, please post when and where you are running.

Wonderfully said Jane.  We are with you spirit and mind.  Good luck everyone and have fun where ever you are running.  And special thoughts to Sandy.  After all the hard work you have done, you will prevail.

That's ok.  I wasn't sure whether to post it under Events and Accomplishments or under General Discussion.  The main thing is, you wanted to wish Sandy luck, so you had very good intentions.  See you on Saturday!

Thanks for the good wishes guys.  I will be wearing the lucky horseshoe Jane and Heather gave me last year plus I will have 3 stubborn pacers with me during the "dark times".  Hopefully I can employee Jane or Patti to write a few words on Sunday or Monday as I will be in the hospital..........no just kidding, I will be at York University watching my little Dolly (Ryann) play tennis at the Rexall Centre.  My little bit O'bragging-Ryann won Bay of Quinte last week, then COSSA this week and is on her way to OFSSA at York.  The downside is she has to register Sunday afternoon, banquet Sunday night and plays Monday, Tuesday if she makes the finals and she needs a female chaparone.  I wouldn't miss it anyway.  Well honestly I may sleep through it but I'll be there.  So...I will file my report on Tuesday or Wednesday.

To all those running Sulphur with me HAVE FUN!!  It's a great course and has the BEST food of all races.  Of course some of it you have to be out there longer for, lasagna, soup, hamburgers.....ummmm, oh grilled cheese, potatoes and salt, cookies....... chipeater

Next year, forget the other races -- if there is lasagna and hamburgers, we will run 50K at Sulphur Springs!  (I am only joking!)

We have lots of time for training Jane.  And just think of the food.  Much better than those stale chabotta buns or whatever they were supposed to be.  Hmmmmmm  hamburgers, grilled cheeses, cookies.

I think they are chiabotta or something like that.  I think I prefer the "F" buns to those ones!   wink

Hey Sandy,
Good luck!  Can't wait to hear all the details and see you sporting that belt buckle!  I'll be thinking of you!
To the rest of you ladies, and Adam and Dave, good luck, and I expect to see some pictures!  Have fun!
