Hi Derek how are you?, yes they hold this event every year, this year was the 12th running of Ganaraska. It`s a fairly tough course so im told, i`ve nothing to compare it to, cuz its my first official trail run, but the word is that its a challenge, but its very doable.
Are you comming to Sulphur Springs this weekend?, I have trail runs planned for all summer, wanna run with me??, that would be my pleasure if you did.Just give me a call and i will tell you of our schedule, trail running is the best!!, nice to hear from you Derek, take care, hope to see you on the trails..David. grin

Hi David, I'm doing great thanks.  No I won't being going to the Sulphur Springs. I did'nt know about it until today but hopefuly  next time.  I would like to join you but I live in Cambridge. But I do come down to Trenton once in awile vist friends down thier, I used to live in Trenton i'm good friends with Jane and Sandy  and also know lot of Sandy running group.  Next time I come down maybe we can to some trail running with Sandy and Jane and with others from the group. I will be down in Belleville on June10 for a track and field meet I do the 5000m, 3000m, and 1500m races. I don't know if you know  but         i'm an special olympain. I'm a speedskater and of course a runner. Yes trail running is the best i've been trail running for 4 years, and I also like road running but not much as trail running. bye again Derek.  ps I like trails that are challenge but one weakness for me on a trail is running   up   the hills but i'm getting strong on them. I will master them before the next toad.

Dave, I am an expert on walking the hills, so you don't have to worry about that!!  I just need to learn to power walk, so that I don't get passed all the time by those excellent walkers that we are getting at events.

Derek, I would have mentioned Sulphur Springs but I never really expected that you would want to do another run so soon after running the Half in Mississauga, especially with the National Games coming up (I heard a rumour that you can't do any more than 5Ks until after the games now).  And with you having that track meet in Belleville on June 10, the extra recovery time will do you good.

But Derek, you will be excited to know that Dave will be running at Wolfe Island, so the two of you will get to meet there!

Walking is always good.  I walked the Port Perry 1/2 in 2:48:55.  Will have to do another walk some time soon and see if I can improve on it.
