hello everyone    I would like to say I went into a 5k run in waterloo called the mudpuppy. I came very close of breaking the 20minute, got 20.06,  I finished 10 overall  and 8 overall male. I'm very proud of this one I won my age group 30-34.I got a nice running shirt for finishing 1st. There were 3 in my age group.That was my first time I won my age group ever so i'm very proud of that. it was 3k 5k and 10k run.  Well that's it for now  I sure can't wait till the Mississauga half marathon ,i'm so ready  bye for now can't wait to see u all again. Derek.  ps that was today started at 10.20am.  it's going to happen i'm going to break that 20 minute mark!!!  soon.

Congratulations, Derek!!!  That is awesome.  I can't even imagine running a 20 minute 5k!  winkeyes
And first in your age group!!!  Wow!  Good job! Those 30-34 year-olds sure are speedy!

Wow, Derek, that is awesome!!! Talk about so close to breaking the 20 minute barrier!!  yeah! yeah!   yeah!

Was it done with a timing chip or did they just record the time on paper when you came over the finish line!

I was telling Sandy this morning when we were running that you were doing a 5K race today. 

Hey, can you get your Mom to take a photo in your new shirt and with your medal?  And then we can post it on here for all of us to see!

By the way, I am looking forward to seeing you next Sunday too!  And judging by your time, you will NOT be running with us slow runners (no matter what you said before!)
