A year ago today I began the learn to run program with Sandy.   Never thought I would be able to run at all let alone do the 1/2 marathon last October.  I'm hooked and absolutly loving it!  I would love to do a full once before I'm 50.(2 years)  Thanks Sandy for all your expertise and all the great group of runners from Trenton I've had the pleasure to run with!  See you all at Mississauga!

Congratulations Sue.  You must feel like you are walking on clouds.  This is a great group of people for sure.  Each and every one of them offer support and advice at every turn.  And they are alot of fun too.

See you in Mississauga

Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary, Sue.  Isn't it amazing the things we can accomplish, even though we never thought they were possible before!!  I'm sure you will achieve your next goal as well.

See you in Mississauga

Happy 1st Anniversary Sue!!!  We were just talking this weekend about people being inspired to run.  Your name came to mind because I remembered how you said you saw the people coming through Bloomfield doing the PEC run and how it inspired you to give it a try.  I'm glad that you did or we might not have met you!!

The sky's the limit!!!  You can do anything that you set your mind to do.   I am certain that you will be able to run a marathon (if I did it, then you can too!!).  I want to know when and where it will be so we can be there to take photos and cheer you over the finish line!!

Congrats Sue!  You are AWESOME!!!!  Like myself, my one year anniversary is coming up, and it's so true about having the right kind of people around you.  They will motivate you, and help you to excel to the person that you want to be!  There is no limit to what you can do!   Now YOU have become an inspiration for others!!

Maybe they should have a before and after thread like running mania?

Congrats Sue!  I have to agree, the people I have met and now run with on a regular basis have really kept me going.  When I started running, I ran by myself and although I enjoyed it, it is so much better when you have someone to run with and share your success' with.

Thanks to all of you for your inspiring words!  Jane, it was the first PEC Marathoners running past the end of my street that got me inspired!  I don't think I've ever met a nicer bunch of folks though to keep me inspired!  After Mississauga I will get over to run with you all.  I'm a little nervous of doing trails as I was having some issues with my achilles and the hills and rough terrain seem to bother that abit.  Because I started training later than you all for Mississauga I have a 10 mile this coming weekend and 11 miles the next.  Are any of you doing the One to One 5k for cancer run May 6th.  I think I saw that Cathy and Jane were going to register. I registered this week and hope to see some of you there.

I knew that it was the first PEC run that you saw, Sue, because didn't you run the half last year???  That is amazing that you ran a half marathon not even a year after you started running!!

I am not sure if I can do the One to One event now.  I think I have another commitment and I may not be able to make this year.   sad  (It's not another run).  There are just too many things going on at once!

I will be there Sue.  Haven't seen you since Kingston Res Run.  Looking forward to the race.  Heard it was a good one.  Congratulations again on your awsome accomplishment.  Can't wait for Mississauga.

That's great Cathy!  I'll see you there!  Sorry you can't make it Jane, sounds like your really busy.  I 'll see you at Mississauga though!  Hows Heather's training going?
This is her first half isn't it?  I am excited for her!  I know I will never forget my first half marathon experience!  I'm sure she will do well!

Hi Sue!

My training is going very well.  We are just starting our taper.  I really enjoyed training with the half group at the Foot Shack.  A great bunch of people :)  This is my first half and I am quite excited.  I am sure everyone will do great!

Congratulations on your One Year Anniversary!  IVery impressive that you will have two half marathons under your belt in just over a year of running.  I am going on my third year of running and I am now doing a half (like my mom says, we do things slow in our family, we think about it for a long time  wink)  I have no doubt that you could do a full marathon!  Go to it, Girl!  smiley
