The PEC Marathon was on TSN today at 11:30.  I wasn't home but Bob taped it for us.  It was much better than last year's show.  This year, in addition to showing the top male runners, they also showed the top female runners.  Which meant that they showed Jutta quite a few times throughout the show as she was the 1st Place Woman!  Wow, Jutta made running a 3:04 marathon look SO EASY!!!  The guys looked like they really didn't enjoy it much!  Maybe Jutta wasn't as fast as the men, but she was able to talk and have a great time throughout it!  Now THAT is my kind of runner!

If anyone wants to borrow the tape, let me know.

I also taped the PEC Marathon on Sunday.  Jutta did awsome!  She made it look easy!  I will never forget being at the start line for the half and the sound of the crowd cheering her on as she gracefully ran by waving at us all!  It was an indescribable feeling. At the awards later she thanked everyone so much for cheering her on and how much it had meant to her and helped her to keep going.  I remember her talking to us about it at the Fat Ass Foot Run in November. It was so cool to meet her that day, all of us were jammed in under the shelter trying to stay dry.  She had come for the ski swap and saw the set up for the race and came over to say hi. I was so inspired by her!
