hello all I would like to say my speedskating club had an 100 lap skateathon today. My father counted the laps for me I did the 100 laps in 23 minutes,I did not rest few of the laps I stand up to rest my back but kept going. There were lots of skaters few of us had to slow down everyone was all over the place oh well it was fun. my back and legs was some tired. the important thing I had fun and wanted to do the 100 laps,and I did it. bye for now Derek ps Go Canada go in Torino,Italy.

Wow, Derek, that is great to be able to do 100 laps in 23 minutes. What distance would that be then? Were you fundraising for something?

thank u all for the congrats. Jane I think it's 11k i'm not 100% sure, we do this everyyear we get money from ppl to help the club for help to rent the ice and get equitment for the club and what ever the club needs. my knee feel alot better,still a bit sore.

Thank u Sandy, and yes I am loving it. I'm watching it everyday shorttrack speedskating mostly and I know one of the speedskaters Amanda Overland. ps I have a scarey feeling that the men's hockey is not going to win a medal.I hope they will do better.

I'm getting that same scary feeling about the men's hockey too Derek! Let's hope they can turn it around and follow the women's example.
