Congratulations to both our Robyn's for finishing their first marathons, not an easy task at any pace.  Whether either of you choose to do another one you can always have this experience to cherish.   :sign4:

I would like to share this private message I received with regards to Robyn May.  The author also completed the PEC Marathon and qualified for Boston with a time around 3:45.

I was most inspired after the day was over and I checked the stats.  I saw your friend Robin's time.  She won my heart.  The guy that comes in first runs for maybe 3 hours and is done.  Sure he trains hard but some of it is a natural ability to run faster.  Robin's time, effort and drive to finish displayed guts and character not many people possess.  Her spirit, her stamina and her sheer determination to stick with her goal to the end.  She is the true winner of the day.  In the face of such a challenge how many of us could do it.  When I am faced with a daunting task or a situation that I feel is to big for me to handle, I will think of Robin.  I'm in awe of this very special lady.

Take care,
Sharon

I think this reflects how we all feel Robyn and why you were not left to finish by yourself.

Well, Robyn - I don't think the official photographer got your photo (unless I missed it) but here is my version.  Unfortunately the time didn't totally come out and I think you were not QUITE hitting the mat (hey, I didn't say I was a professional, did I?).  I will see if I can get a hard copy for you if you would like to frame it.

And here is your post-finish photo too.

The originals are quite a bit bigger than what they show here on the website....

People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them.

Thank you so much, everyone.  I really am at a loss for words.  I'm still sorting out my feelings about this weekend.
