Just wondered if there are any locals in Florida doing Disney this weekend or just crazy enough to do/be Goofy? Good luck to any who are there.

Yes Laurie Thompson is racing there this year.  Best wishes to her.  That is the only one I know of.

OK ... not ignoring you after making the initial inquiry.

(As you know), I have signed up and am doing Around the Bay 30K in March.  I am not sure whether to move forward from there and "Go Goofy" January 2013 (which would fit into my original goal set a couple of years ago) or whether to wait an extra year.  For reasons unknown to even me ...

I have been having a bit of trouble with motivation lately (actually since the 30K last August) ... but  I really need to get my butt off the couch NOW because March isn't that far around the corner any more.

Maybe my body just needed a break.  Which it now has had.

So ... when are we going?   tongue

re- motivated to get off the couch....I was in the same boat, crazy busy before the holidays but then realized how close ATB is. Give a shout when you need a running buddy to get you out the door. Between the girls crazy schedules, I have to do some creative scheduling for my runs but have to get them in somehow.

Aww ... thanks, Rhonda!
I'll probably slow you down, though ...

We all have our own idea of speed. I always feel like I'm slowing someone else down. I have a text msg from a much faster friend of mine that I often go back and read - she told me "Fast is over-rated, fun is not. Make your run a fun run!"I have slogged out long runs with friends and done many on my own - always fun to share the pain and the accomplishment with someone else.

You know where to find me as well, Rhonda!
And with my girls and the business too, my scheduling for runs could turn out to be as creative as yours!  The only constant I try and keep is longer runs Sunday morning.

Hi Everyone !  I had the best time of my life doing the Goofy Challenge this past weekend.  It was my first marathon as well and I smashed my goal time.  I was hoping for 5:30 and ran a 4:54:58.  I just wanted to thank everyone at Tri & Run for all the products, great advice, training and encouragement.  Special thanks to my coach Janet!  Your program had me more than ready for these runs and helped me exceed what I thought I was capable of.
