That was cool. There sure are a lot of people running that race. Is the Ny marathon larger than Boston?

Ya, there are lots of marathons larger than Boston, but none with the pedigree.

What makes Boston so prestigious compared to other marathons? I have heard people always talk about Boston but after watching the NY marathon just have to ask.
