That was an interesting article. I think no matter how much hydration I have before and during the race will I ever complete an Ironman in under 12 hours! Fitness levels mist be taken into consideration before making claims like that.

Guys also remember that when looking at a study of %TotalBodyWater (TBW), that the % can be skewed negatively by %Fat. i.e. a very lean person will have a higher percentage TBW but much less total Water amount than a person with a lot of body fat. They likely would have the same results showing that the fastest competitors on avg had the highest %lean body mass.
