Good Luck to all who will be doing the PEC and Running for the Toad this weekend.

Hopefully the weather cooperates for both events.

If anyone has run the PEC Half maybe you can help me. I am not sure if I was reasding the email correctly. What it said was, "you park at the Crystalo Palace and get bused to the start. The Half starts at 10AM. The last bus leaves Crystal Palace at 0830AM." So if I am reading this right you get on a bus at sometime but before 0830 and you stand at teh start point for an hour or more? Is this correct?

Correct! Bring warm clothes and strip down before the start. They bus your things back to the finish line. See you there

Yes, did that last year for the last time. The other option is to take the bus to the marathon start point, run to the 1/2 start point, keeping warm en route. Then linger till the half starts, and run the 1/2 marathon.  Its what I wish I had done.   wink

 roflmaob

So if I understand you correctly, I go to the marathon start then run to the half start point. What a fantastic idea. Why I never thought of that before goes beyond belief.

Forecast for Sunday AM is 6C.  Hopefully the showers will be done by then.  Trust me, at 9:30AM, you'll be thinking about it.  Have a good run.

Dress warm Dave and bring your race kit bag to stuff clothes into.  There is a drop box at the half start and they will bring back your stuff to the finish line.
Good luck to you and Kim and see you at the finish line!!!

What a day that was. Just the temp I love to run in, Kim not so much. The wait at the start line was long and boring. After all that I still don't think I would opt for the full just so I don't have to wait. Nice try though!
