Lets try that again. We swam last night and the water is getting colder. A wet suit is required.

Just remember, shaking and shivering burns extra calories.

(note this is coming from someone who hasn't done a serious open water swim in years.)

Kate in all seriousness, you'll spend more time putting the wetsuit on and taking it off then you will swimming 300m. I generally wouldn't bother. But,,,, if I was racing and it was a swim start, not a beach start and I had to spend time in the water waiting for the gun to go I would wear the wetsuit.
