Check at a fabric store.  I do know of a few people that have taken sewer's elastic and split open the seam at one end, feed it through and stitch the seam back up.
And look at that no extra comments!!! cheesy

Hi April

I tried the elastic that Patti suggested, and it worked.  I used it in the running skirt and wore it on the 'night run from hell' and I had no 'costume malfunctions'.

Just remember when you pick it up - you remember the width of the hem/seam in the shorts you are putting the elastic in.
