We had so much fun we are going to make a series out of it and keeping with our theme we're calling it:

The Taste a Cookie Tri
Sponsored by Taste of Country

Tuesday July 19, Aug 2, Aug 30 and Sept 20 from 6-7pm

Come test yourself for 300m swim/12k bike/3k run OR a 1k run/12k bike/3k run.

Events are done in a fun format with the opportunity to try out your new skills or shake the rust off your old skills.

Members $5, Non-members $10 Register at the store or call to register 613-392-7752.

Do one event and you're a Cookie Rookie
Do two events and you're a Cookie Apprentice
Do three events and you're a Cookie Master
Do all four events and you're a Cookie MONSTER
The back will say "Come to the dark side...we have COOKIES!"

Tshirts will be available for purchase at our final event as follows: Rookie $5.00 All others $FREE

All events will be followed by cookies (of course) and beverages and at our season wrap up on Sept 20 we will be awarding the most improved athlete for the swim, the bike, the run, and overall.  This might not be a seasoned pro but maybe a tri newbie!!!!!!

Bring your family to swim in the Lake while you race, or play in the playground or cheer you on!!  (award for the best cheering squad as well!)

Well technically the first event was last night but if enough people are interested in being a Cookie Monster  grin I will add another night.

Hey!  That sounds like FUN!
Haley and I are interested ... for me because it is based on having fun versus competitive.  For those of you who know me better than others, swimming and Kate don't go together, but I'm willing to give it a "tri".
Hopefully a fourth week could be added because I would like to be a cookie MONSTER.  If a fourth week can't be added, maybe a fourth week could be done on trust?  Especially since I have a partner in crime?

It is very low key and we had lots of fun at our first.  I will say I have had enough interest I will find a fourth date so we can have a few cookie monsters!

This was fun.  Now that I've had a "taste" for cookies, is there a way to maybe have access to a road bike to see the difference? I know that I could have gone faster on the bike if I wasn't using my mountain bike   cheesy

You did awesome Sue! You can always come to the store and test ride a road bike or if you'd like one for a little longer or for a future "Cookies" event you could rent one.

Entry level ex:
Scott Speedster 50
$45/day for a single day
$40/day for multiple days

48 hours to Cancel
Credit card to reserve...1 day charge
pick up anytime on first day
dropped off by 5pm on last day
Waiver must be signed and rental paid in full on pick up.
One day rental applies for first day of multi day rental

Sounds like a fun time, I can see myself being a Cookie monster for sure!  Think I can round up some support for best cheering crew, and there might be a surprise entry as well, I might have converted him to the dark side (well the cookies probably helped cool).

Yes you can. There were a few people tonight who swam without wetsuits. The water is getting warm.

The water is really warm at Roblin,
Don't need a wetsuit, but it does make it easier!!!
Cheers.

I don't know, those 19 wetsuits are awesome and wicked fast!  I'd wear one even if the water was 30 degrees!

G'day Guys,

Wetsuits are like always riding with an tail wind, or just always running down a  slight grade. "Harden up" and just save them for a bonus come race day. You shouldn't "need" a wetsuit after May.  evil

Peace
