Looking for your thoughts and suggestions regarding the Surf & Turf.  We always send the Race Directors some CONSTRUCTIVE feedback and would welcome anything you would like us to pass on.  Keep in mind that being a race director is a tiring, thankless and time consuming VOLUNTEER job.

Sandy,

    Lets try this again.

Overall this year the race well organized. Having the extra help at the kayak transition was a huge help and also the presense of the OPP was great. Once again though traffic congestion on Wolfe Street always seems to be an issue. There are always too many vehicles driven by racers or their volunteers and I am sad to say most of them are military. Batawa was a sea of people just standing on the roadway blocking traffic. Human nature! You can lead a horse to water!!!!!!

I enjoyed myself (as always). I thought having the OPP out on the course was great. The lights at Frankford were not a scary event at all this year! Volunteers were great, my only complaint, no chocolate mint gels on the run course wink, good thing I brought my own laugh

I don't think there was a port a potty at the start of the trial run but maybe I missed it. But other than that the race was great again this year.

I agree -- there needs to be a port-a-potty at every single transition area.  Thank you Sandy for sponsoring one for next year!

The burgers were good (although a little skimpy in size    laugh) and I found they really should have had some sort of chips to go along with them.  Something with salt!  I am trying to remember now exactly what the other food was at the end.  I have been to two BBQs since last Friday and I am getting confused  (see the reference to menopause leave on Diane's missing bag thread).

David, the key to avoiding the congestion is to not race so quickly and by the time you get there, the crowd is gone!  At least that was OUR experience!   Or conversely, race faster!   laugh
