foggy lightheadedness, close to passing out, dizzy, sweats, shakes and weakness. What could cause this? It's happened to me a couple times after a run but today I didn't run and it still happened. I know my iron is low and I'm taking iron pills. Maybe not enough.
Any thoughts?

April I am not sure of your diet or how you supplement, but the first thing that came to mind was a hormonal change... maybe have your doctor look at that...(however, I am no expert...)

Seeing a Dr is good advice.

It could be a range of things. But two stand out the most. Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and low blood pressure.

You may especially predisposed to hypoglycemia if there are blood sugar issues in the family i.e. diabetes.

I've also had similar feeling after a very long workout without enough calories. (low blood sugar)

An outside idea if you are a heavy sweater and avoid sodium it could be hyponatremia though it shouldn't happen outside of exercise.

Thanks for the input. This recent episode happened after getting out of the hot tub as I was making something to eat.I need to adjust my electrolyte intake now that the temps are going up and hope things improve. Thanks again
