-The only reason I would take up jogging is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.  Erma Bombeck
-Life is short... running makes it seem longer.  Baron Hansen
-The trouble with jogging is that the ice falls out of your glass.  Martin Mull
-To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.  Pre
-You have a choice. You can throw in the towel or you can use it to wipe the sweat off of your face.  Gatorade

-Cross country...finally a practical use for golf courses.  Unknown
-Some people don?t have the guts for distance racing.  The polite term for them is sprinters.  Unknown
-There are clubs you can't belong to; neighbourhoods you can't live in, schools you can't get into, but the roads are always open.  Nike
-If God invented marathons to keep people from doing anything more stupid, the triathlon must have taken Him completely by surprise.   P.Z. Pearce
-Why Couldn?t Phippides have died Here?  Bill Rodgers at the 18 mile mark
-Obsessed is just a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated.  Anonymous
-People ask me why I run so fast, what do you do when you hear a gun?  Unknown
One of my favourites:  Trample the weak. Hurdle the dead.  Anonymous
And finally:  Every morning in Africa a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must move faster than the lion or it will not survive. Every morning a lion wakes up and it knows it must move faster than the slowest gazelle or it will starve. It doesn't matter if you are the lion or the gazelle, when the sun comes up, you better be running.  Anon

Oh, my friend, it's not what they take away from you that counts. It's what you do with what you have left.

I love motivational quotes! Use them all the time.

The one that I have posted in my office right now is; "Somewhere in the world, someone is training when you are not. When you race her, she will win."

Gets me out the door everytime.

LOVE that one, Janet!!
Now I have to print it off and put it somewhere that I will see it ... I'm having BIG trouble with motivation these days (can never seem to find my running shoes), and maybe that quote will do the trick!
