Has anyone ever had foot pain in the arch (bottom of the foot) caused by a blow to the top of the foot? If so what can you do for it? (ouch ouch)

Dennis thanks for the help - but I'm surprised that you didn't make a comment about the age of my foot!

Depending on the blow to the top of the foot you may have pulled the fascia which would require a temp arch support, stick your head in and I can give you one. OR depending on the velocity of the blow you may have had some rotation strain to your calf muscles that would require some stretching, rolling and/or massage. If you have time I can take a look at it today or tomorrow.

Definitly could be the plantar fascia, but also depending on the area of the contact it could have sprained the ligaments between one or more of the small bones in the foot. Stress of standing/walking would cause a stetch of the ligament and result in the pain.
As Sandy said, a temporary arch support would stabilize the area and decrease the pain.
Cheers,
Bryan.
