G'day Guys,

As a reminder to a previous discussion, there is a Night trail run Oct 30th. Meeting at my place at 7:00pm then a short drive to the trails, 13-15km of "Enchanted" Northumberland Forest trails. Rain or Shine though at that time of day the only shine is the headlights. The area is fairly sandy so it drains well in rainy weather and most puddles are avoidable. Then back to my place for recovery drinks and brownies apres run.

This isn't a race and no one will be left in the woods. Just a fun paced get together. Let me know if you are coming and I can shoot you directions, Sandy mentioned she was coming so some may be able to come over with her or follow her over.

Peace
Peter

I think night trail running would be really neat, but a bit too much for me (both night and the Sunday morning) at this stage of my fitness - otherwise I'd be there.

Have fun!

Sandy,

Bob, Cal and I are planning on being there from my end of the world.

Did the proposed loop on Monday and even after all that rain the trails were in great shape and no wet feet.

Peace

Kate & Nancy,

If you are worried about the distance and your Sunday run, the run Saturday night is in two loops the first a little over 4km and the second around 10km, so you guys could do the 4km with everyone and then either hang around until we finish or drive back to the house to start into the recovery.

Just a thought since the forest is so nice right now.

Peace

Thanks Peter.
It does sound very fun.  I am not necessarily worried about the distance.  Mostly the keeping up with all of you and/or getting lost.  I am good for a 6 minute kilometer on the road, but am slower on the trails.
I don't think I can make it this Saturday.  Something about a Halloween Party and my house being taken over by teenagers.  But maybe next time!

What kind of light gear do you wear?

You can either wear a head lamp or carry a flash light.
