G'day Guys,

I was wondering if any of the mtber's out there are interested in a Mtb ride this Friday. From my place for a couple hrs. The forest trails are excellant right now, no bugs, the poison Ivy has died off and the bramble is clearing out. Probably heading out between 8:00pm - 9:00pm whatever works.

Let me know.

Peace
Peter

Would there be shorter trails for me to run while you guys MTB?  I'd love to get a night run in.

Yep, Sandy lots of trails, of varying distances.

Single track, Double track, forest roads whatever you like.

Let me know how far you want to go and I can figure some options out for you.

Heck I could even print you off a map you could use to decide as you go.

Peace
Peter

Definitely Friday night?  I have just been told I have a dinner date in Picton this Friday night so I will have to catch the next one.  Will this be a weekly thing?  It would just be comforting knowing that there are other bodies out in the woods and if I didn't come back someone might call out the dogs to look for me.  Maybe?  grin

Homer,

Bob's bike is available, and I have a spare set of lights if you don't have any.

Sandy,

I'd like to make it a weekly thing until the weather gets too horrible. Why don't we plan a 2hr trail run on Friday night Oct 29th, and I can give all those that show a guided tour. Next Friday 22nd I'm away at an Anti-Aging Seminar in Toronto so that Friday won't work.

Peace
Peter

I'd be interested indoing dome night trail running, haven't done that since the "Blair Witchy" at the ski hill.  Can't come the 29th, am working, although depending on what time I might be able to sneak out a little early, keep me updated angel

G'day Guys,

Looks like so far for this Friday night I have 4 riders from Campbellford (Bob, Don, Simon, Jeff), 2 from Warkworth (Cal, Peter), and 1 from Colborne (Darryll) coming out. With all the lights cruising through the bush, the wildlife will think the aliens have landed.

Janet - Keep watching the forum and I'll try to keep everyone updated on what's up. It would be nice to alternate between, riding and running. then when the trails get too deep with snow to ride, then alternating group computrainer rides and trail runs/snowshoes.

Peace
Peter

The 29th there is a fun run in Trenton.  Could we do the Saturday night? I don't mind following a map so you guys can continue to ride.

How about we set the date at Sat Oct 30.  I work until 5:30 but I can come straight from work so could go anytime after 6:30.  You set the time. I'll bring a few people to run with so you guys could MTB if you leave us with a map.

G'day Sandy,

Just to be clear, There is still mtb ride tomorrow night Oct 15th. Meet at my place at 7:30pm riding by 8:00pm.

Trail Run planned for Oct 30th, meet at my place at 7:00pm, short drive to the trails (I usually ride out to them but if there is a group it will be easier to park out there) about a 2hr run then back at my place for brownies and recovery drinks.

Peace

We all had a great time last night 5 riders out!! 2.5 hr ride. Would have been better with more but I guess by the quiet response to Pete's post that I can only assume that Ohpra had a special on and every one pasted on the after ride session, recovery drink and Janets brownies.. oh well your loss.
