Regardless of how much you spend on your bike you may not like your saddle.  Saddles are considered OE or original equipment and depending on how much you have spent on your bike may be very low quality.  Even if you purchased the $10,000 Uber bike with the high end $400 saddle it may be excruciatingly uncomfortable if it doesn?t fit your curves.
Fizik; makers of the most popular saddles at the Hawaiian Ironman and the Tour de France believe that we are all built differently and have developed the Spine Concept of fitting your shape to their saddles.  Fizik believes that your flexibility dictates not only how you sit on your saddle but where.  If you are very flexible and are able to touch your toes then your saddle needs to be narrow at the back with a long nose as you tend to move back and forth looking for different power points.  The less flexible you are the wider the back of the saddle where your sitting bones sit and the shorter the nose is as your lack of flexibility dictates you will not spend much time here.
Fizik has just added the Versus line of saddles which takes their most popular models and adds a pressure relief channel down the center.  This is not a cut out as Fizik believes that the more surface area to spread the load the better.  What the channel does is to take away pressure points from soft tissue while still supporting the bones.  The women?s specific Vesta line takes the best of all the above and wraps it in a pretty bow.   One of the best things about Fizik is that they have a trial saddle for every style that an authorized dealer can loan you so you can try before you buy.
In a quest for my own cloud nine I swapped out my OE saddle for a Fizik Aliante which was better but not best, even after 800+ kilometres it took time every ride to find ?the? comfort spot.  This past week I tried the Fizik Women?s specific Vesta Miss Berlin with the pressure relief channel and I?m in love!  From the first pedal stroke I was comfortable, not having to shift, move or adjust.  Mile after mile I marvelled at how I could switch between an upright seated position to the tri position with ease and comfort.  80k later I was happy, content and looking forward to my next ride.  Miss Berlin where have you been all my life?

Hi Sandy,

These saddles sound wonderful.  However, after checking their website, seem quite expensive.  The ones I was looking at were their custom made variety, so these of course would be more.  How much does Miss Berlin run anyhow,

Thanks,
Michelle

I'm not sure how much this saddle is but here is how I look at it:

10 tubes of Butt Butter to try and keep parts happy on the bike = $220
Decent pair of bike shorts to try and keep parts happy = $100
Absolute joy and comfort riding on Miss Berlin = PRICELESS

 yeah!

G'day Guys,

Agreed finding a great saddle is paramount and once found you will rue the day they discontinue the model.
Once I find one that fits right they usually go on all my bikes.

Personal experience, no matter how good the saddle is you'll still need great shorts and lube for the long rides, especially if you ride almost everyday.

Peace

Just gonna add, that when it comes to equipment that directly affects "contact points" in cycling (shoes, shorts, saddles, aero bars), you really can't afford NOT to spend time and money finding what works for you.  $140 for a saddle, is not even that pricey (there are many that are much more), and if it really works for you, you will never regret spending the money!  Your riding enjoyment will go up, and therefor your fitness will likely go up - its a win, win :-)

Cheers,
Jon

Hi,

Thanks Sandy, or as Clownfeet stated, priceless ~ do you have any in stock; and is it possible to 'try before you buy'?

thanks!

It is but you better call the store to put your name on the list.  The "try" is out right now and has already sold 4 saddles.
