My 2 cents - 5 should be better than 3  smiley  3 can work, as you have proven, but 5 days a week should allow you to build more running strength into your legs, and you will be able to take advantage of total training load through frequency, which I believe is a great way (effective and healthy) to make gains.

Cheers,
Jon

I agree with Jon, especially since you have spent time running (3 day a week plan) and have necessary structure and fitness in place to handle the increased frequency, volume, and intensity. Just don't increase all the just mentioned 3 parameters at the same. Slowly build into it and as has been mentioned many times here listen to your body. Training sessions should tire you out, not make you feel wasted and sore for days on end. There is even benefits for the advanced runners to do 2 a day workouts on big run weeks, but that is usually limited to the pointy end of the competitive field.

Peace
Peter
