Where is the best place in the Belleville area for picking strawberries?

Love them and tired of getting squished and moldy ones at the store. Stopped at 2 stands and even those ones weren't the best.

Thanks!

I really like the place just north of Belleville, right across from the Foxboro IGA.  They don't use sprays on their berries.

We have this wonderful customer who goes and picks berries (somewhere) because he likes to do it and then brings them to us because he can't eat them all.  Seriously!!

Will try and remember where, but I think he said Rainbow Farms.

Thanks Sandy and Kate, will check them out too.

Kate, how nice! I have an elderly neighbour, he brings me goodies from his garden all the time, so sweet.  If I bake, I take him treats.

I was at the U pick place in Foxboro yesterday and the berries were really terrible.  The owner said the other field will be producing nicer berries by Monday though.

How much are they charging a quart to pick yourself?  My parents got some really really beautiful ones just at the Dewies in Belleville.  And only $2.49 a quart.

Thanks for the heads up Julia...will wait to go there.

Jane I bought some at Dewes Friday, they were good, but most were small, nice to have some big ones. But so far the best and the price was fair. I am betting it is at least $2 to pick yourself.

I remember many years ago, when I was 12 I think, picking them for a summer job, we were paid 15 cents each lol tongue

The little green basket (whatever size that is, a pint maybe?) is $1.25 I think.

Was out for a run and went past the NanSan stand by Kelly's Guardian Drugs on Bridge St E, they looked nice and big, so I grabbed some (with my emergency money I carry..) they are great, sweet and firm. But at $9 for 2, I must get out and pick some!
