     The final big spring race weekend happened with close to 20,000 runners participating in distances from 2k to 100 miles.   At the 10th Annual Caledon Kinetico KOS 5k race Timothy Lytle ran 21:42 and was followed by Don Bourne (35:07) and Becky Bonnisteel while Kim Sutherland ran the Sulphur Springs 25k in 2:49:08.
     Mixing Fireman and chocolate drew many locals to the Toronto Women?s Half Marathon and 5k races held in Sunnybrook Park.  In the half were Petra Austin (2:15:17), Stephanie Warren (1:43:07), Michelle Wells (2:27:40), Diane Harper (2:18:17), Cathy Warren (2:20:20), Judy Engelsdorfer (2:23:17), Pamela Inwood (2:21:22), Lisa Lindsay (2:23:00), Paula Rideout (2:13:25), Jennifer Vincent (2:57:27), Margaret Christie (2:57:27), and Laurey Stolk (2:49:19).  In the 5k were Robin Hineman (36:33), Dagney Benton (30:24), Rachel Wagner (31:42), Judy Taylor (46:32), Nancie Gibson (22:02), Meghan Gibson (20:38), and Nancy Ann Timmers (39:37).
     Another course change along with warm, humid weather did not deter runners in Ottawa with over 4000 in the marathon and over 9200 in the half marathon.  In the full marathon were Jutta Merilainen finishing 10th female in 2:50:54 followed by Ann (4:40:34) and Tim Gunner (4:40:35), Doug Austin (3:29:49), Tessa Forsey (3:38:09), Greg Leal (4:21:41), James Mutton (3:22:17), Dee Nguyen (4:01:42), April Archer (4:39:22), Erin McDougall (3:33:13), Elizabeth MacDonald (4:33:29), Julie Soule (4:47:03), Lisa Avery (2:53:44), Kirk Cheney (4:34:16), Terry Whalen (4:29:59), and Candace Battig (4:28:01).

     In the 2k participants were; Am (24:29) and Braeden Cassidy (24:28).
