Anyone done the Niagara Falls Marathon? Any thoughts or comments welcome.
Anyone interested in doing it this year? I did the 1/2 last year and thought it was beautiful. Incredible to finish in front of the Falls...made for a great background for my post race picture.

G'day,
I've done it a couple times though strangely enough both times I did it the course was changed so we didn't run across the bridge from U.S.A. into Canada. Very flat course with a downhill tendency as the course runs along the river down towards the falls. Nice time of year to race as well as you can have Fall colours and cooler temps. I'd highly recommend it. I haven't done it in a few years but it had always been very well organized.
Hope this helps
Peace
Peter

I have only done the Niagara Falls half marathon, but I love the race. Like you said, great finish line, and it is well organized, and I love the route. I would love to do the full some year but it won't be this year. (I am not such a fan of summer running, I prefer spring marathons 'cuz I like winter training better). But I love the idea of running across the bridge. I do a 10k in my hometown that crosses the U.S. Candada border on the Bluewater Bridge and it's always exciting running across an international border crossing, way up high over the water.
