Your right King you can't catch a cold from being cold and wet. Also true iron does rust. Glad you and Pete were there to take Damon for a loop.

OMG!!!  It's so cute how much you guys missed Jeff, Dennis and Tony!  Is it Jeff's butt?  Tony's socks?  Dennis's eyes?  No worries, they'll be out to play again another day!  As for the other comments, I for one would vote for a rain day and/or CT's undercover if it rains.  I know no one missed me today but if anyone wants to come out and play tomorrow at 6am for 140k I'm available.  Otherwise I will be inside riding the course on the CT.  Don't worry about me though, I'll have Jeff stop by occassionally and throw a bucket of water at me, turn up the fan and turn out the lights!  Gotta be ready for every eventuality at IM....even finishing in the dark.   grin

G'day Sandy,

First off I missed you. :)

Second, you are missing a fundamental in the male psyche, in that we have to continuely validate how tough we are. Especially as we get older and weaker/softer. The whole "that's not bad we used to have walk 3 miles to school uphill both ways" sort of badgering. So as much I like Jeff's butt, Tony's socks and Dennis's eyes it's actually just a bit of teasing that goes on even during the ride and there were probably times today we wished we had stayed in bed a little longer or rode on the trainer and with company it makes everything more fun. That's why we tend to enjoy training in groups more.

Wish I could join you for the 140km workout tomorrow but I have a trainer ride scheduled.  evil

Peace
Peter

Glad you guys had a good ride,so did we thanks for asking, we laughed we cried we swore a lot,no matter how hard Tony tries it is never a G rated ride. You guys are right it may rain on race day or it may be warm & sunny or cloudy & humid or maybe a freak snow storm or maybe more wild fires like they had a couple years ago.....good god now I will have to put a smudge pot in a Bento Box to be ready for that in case it happens.......Ironman training is so hard  cry
We will see every one next Sunday I think it will be a shorter distance as most of us are racing on Friday, hope that's ok.
