Sandy,

Are you interested in me putting together one of the loops on Sunday. (I assume they will be 50km each or are they 40k, 60km)

Peace

Oh, my friend, it's not what they take away from you that counts. It's what you do with what you have left.

G'day,

If the course is really hilly or it's very windy, 60km would take about 2:15 if the course is flat, or if the group is highly motivated and working together sometimes around 1:40 or less. It really depends. generally you can count on a typical pace of 30km/h. Like running there are so many different factors involved.
For example I just finished 111km after work in under 3 1/2 hrs but it's quite flat, around here.

Hope this helps.

Peace

It does help Peter.  Very interesting, I really had no idea.  111km holy moly! Awesome.

I like to bike, but just casually for now, though I can see why you folks love it. grin

One new adventure for me at a time.

Thanks!

I think 2 loops of 50ish give or take would be good.  You could do the second loop which could be hilly just nothing too extreme and or the back half could do something different like last week.  If you want to do a map up that would be great so if the two groups get split up the back half can find their way home.   azn

Thanks Sandy,

I'll put together a 50km loop and a little map for you.

BTW, have a Happy Birthday today. Indulge a little bit but remember you are training for IMC. :)

G'day Sandy,

Here is one option for the 2nd loop on Sunday. It is a variation of last weeks second loop, fairly rolly and a little over 52km. There is a little 6km loop on the back half, off of Little Lake rd. that the back half of the pack can avoid, it is about 3km down and 3km climb, not incredibly steep (less then 20%) but it is long. Good practise for the grind up Yellow Lake. Let me know what you think as I have other others if this isn't suitable.

G'day Dennis,

You are definately front half material and definately qualified. Plus we'd miss your company up there. I pretty sure Bob and Cal are coming as well.

Not incredibly steep (less than 20%) wow, I am nowhere near hardcore enough for that.  I'm thinking I'm glad I got my big ride out of the way today (gotta work this weekend). But you guys have fun with your ride. Wish I could be there to witness the puking Puke!
