Ran the Spring Thaw 10k on Sunday...although it felt more like a winter freeze than a spring thaw! Loved the run and have been smiling since. The smile is partly due to a comment by another runner after my run. I got congratulations on a strong finish by someone I have always trailed behind in local runs. I thought "wow, someone noticed me out there". Little things such as sincere compliment, positive feedback and even just acknowledgement of what you are doing can make such a difference to someone. Thank you Janet - you helped make my day.

Oh, my friend, it's not what they take away from you that counts. It's what you do with what you have left.
