Hi, just looking for some advice.  I ran into a weird situation while biking early this am.  Some old guy was in a car a short ways ahead of me... windows open, dog hanging out one side and arm and cigarette hanging out the other.  I actually was catching up to him to the point where I considered passing him  huh!  It was around the bends on county rd 12 thru Sandbanks park.  I opted to slow down but it was quite frustrating as at one point he nearly stopped.  I decided however that I was safer BEHIND this fellow than AHEAD of him.

Anybody ever came across a situation like this, or have advice on what to do?  I guess I could have turned around, but it would have meant a longer ride home and I had to get to work...

thx,
Michelle

I have never come across this myself but think you made the right choice in staying behind him.

Maybe you should get one of those loud horns installed on your bike that you can blow in cases like this!  Except it probably would scare the cr@p out of him and he would veer around in front of you!  But you probably would have got his attention.....  wink
