Looks like Sun. is going to be a weather wash so we are going to leave Tri & Run at 8:30 on Sat. for about 45k (give or take) likely going to do the same route so bring the climbing legs.  cool

All sounds very tempting, but racing to be done Sat..  5k in Belleville, time to see if the old legs are back yet.

Too bad about the Sunday switch, I was looking forward to that.

G'day Guys,

Solid ride guys, good tempo pace most of the time. Had a blast.

After Jeff, Dennis and sorry I've forgotten the other fellow name peeled off for a run, the rest of us (minus Allan I hope he turned off and headed home and didn't get stranded with a mechanical as we waited at the corner for about 5min.) made our way back to Tri&Run. Craig had a great jump and took the Dug Hill K.O.M. by a long shot.

I rode with Craig back to Smithfield and then headed back to Warkworth, WELL......at about 100km the wheels started falling off, not the bike but me. I must have not been taking in enough calories with regards to my efforts. (you'd think I'd know better) So the next 35km were getting slower and slower, the headwind was getting stronger and stronger and to top things off  with about 3km left unbeknownst to me a bee flew into my jersey and decided his misfortune was my fault and let me know it multiple times.

When I finally crawled into the door at home I was greeted by the smell of fresh baked cookies, peanut butter, chocolate chip and hemp flour my favourite. So After a couple platefuls of cookies all is good again. :) I'm SOOO lucky.

Thanks for the ride guys.

Peace
Peter
