For anyone who is interested, there is still lots of room to register for the Run for the Toad.  Just 438 registered right now and they are taking up to 1350 this year.

All the info is at their website www.runforthetoad.com

This is a great race -- more like a party than a race!  Lots of fun, scenic, wonderful volunteers, lots of food and you get a great bag with the race name on it!  This year they have switched back to the duffel bag style in a plum colour.

If you haven't done a lot of trail running, you can still do this one -- hill training is very important though!

People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them.

Looks like lots of fun!  It is officially now on my bucket list.
I'm definitely out for this year as I have already signed up for PEC which I think is on the 3rd.  Maybe I'll aim for the (lucky) 13th Annual!!
Thanks for the info, Jane.
