Hi there,
I just wanted to inform the Tri and Run community that there is an exciting new program starting up at the YMCA in Belleville. The goal of the program will be to help beginner-intermediate runners improve their running skills and general fitness. The program will run April 26th- Mid June Mondays and Wednesdays with a likely start time of 6:30 pm (stay tuned). The program will focus on gradually increasing running mileage and speed while strengthening key running and core muscle groups. The end goal is the personal best completion of a 5-10km road race.

The instructor (myself) is a former competitive distance runner who has completed 4 half marathons and is now pursuing cycling at a professional level. I have extensive experience and knowledge in endurance sports, nutrition and in coaching endurance athletes.

I did want to enquire about a possible goal race for the group in the Belleville area. Is there a 5-10km race in the Belleville/ Quinte area in the month of June? I figured if anyone would know, the people on this forum would.

Contact the Belleville YMCA for details in the next couple of weeks.
