Not sure if anyone might find this useful, but I found this site yesterday.
It seems very useful for keeping track of calories and displays a pie graph for Carb/Fat/Protein % based on what you've eaten or plan to eat. It also keeps a history of your days so you could track changes in caloric amounts or % of calorie distribution over time.
It has a search bar for instantly looking up foods and has a drop down tab for selecting amount of food, then you can add it to your daily food log.
I find it easier to eat or not eat items when I can see on a pie graph that for example my fat % is already good for that day but I need more protein or carbs to maintain my intended % and or total calories.

Anyways here is the link:      http://www.fitday.com

You just click on the orange   "Get Your Free Account"  button on the left and follow the steps.

I don't find any difference in my food consumption when looking at a pie chart, unless it actually looks like pie, in which case I'll probably add pie to my consumption....The system is simpler in many ways, but more complicated in others.  Anyway, tapering now, must find chips and beer.

Craig, fitday is cool. I've heard from others they like it.

I like a new app on my ipod touch called Lose It! it is really easy to use, you can add new foods using the label on the food, even recipes and then a portion of the recipe.  Also does Protein/Carbs/Fats.  Lots of extra features to play with, weight, goals etc.

I use it when I need to cut back and get a bit more lean. Sometimes you will be surprised at how much you ate.

When I am keeping it simple I just try to have protein with each meal/snack, eat healthy and drink lots of water.

Funny about the pie Mike..

Oh, my friend, it's not what they take away from you that counts. It's what you do with what you have left.
