G'day Guys,

All you trail runners might be interested in this event.

I've done this for a few years now, an excellant event that you do with a partner. If you like snowshoeing you'll love this "race", some teams run the whole event others are just out for a day walk in the woods. Typically you try to find as many checkpoints as possible and be back to finish within 3 hrs the course is usually designed so that it next to impossible to get all the checkpoints in the allotted time so this is where stategy comes into play as to which checkpoints you should go for and in what order to maximize points but get you back to the finish in time. If you are over time they start deducting points for every minute late.
With so many people wandering through the woods the navigation is fairly basic as there are lots of tracks to follow.
Check it out, it's a well organized event and usually has some good prizes.

Peace
Peter

That does look like fun.  Anyone else interested in a "low profile" team?

I started snowshoeing last year and it's a blast.   I would be volunteering to join your team , but I have committments that day.      sad

Bob and I are all signed up, though I haven't been out snowshoeing yet this year. Hoping for a little more of the white stuff.

Peace
