Gord Smith is up from the states looking for some Saturday road riding.  I told him to check out here to see if anyone would be out and about.

What an eye opener.

This goes along with another eyeopener that happened this summer.

I always assumed that with a name like the "Big Ring Club" it would be filled with hard core cycling types that liked to go hard and fast no need for the little ring, just hammer everything in the "big ring". To my surprise the group is named for the bunch of lilies that don't like the hills and climbing and suffering that requires the little ring, they just like doodling along the flats...in the sun...not toooo far....preferrably with a tail wind...and/or a good draft....in the "big ring".

Written with a very big smile and fully intended in the sense of fun and laughter.

Peace
Peter

Wow, can't wait to hear about your cyclocross experience! Sounds exciting (and fun).

Guilty as charged Newt, I don't mind the hills, but biking in my snowsuit just isn't that much fun.  Think it's just dates with me and my trainer now, brrrrr wink

That's alright guys as many of you likely know I talk a big game, but in all reality I just got off the trainer myself. :)

Jeff,

I guess today I'm a little slow as I was typing over at Pre-rant while you posted this.

I'm going to try listening to sausages, on my long run today. Might be my last, where's Bob when you need him.

Running conversion between Peter, & Bob.

Bob - "your're not wearing your bear bell today?? - It sure is nice not to listen to that constant jingling"

Peter- "ya, I was readiing on the tri&run site about listening to sausages, so I thought I'd try it out"

Bob - "sausages....sausages why would you be wearing sausages on a trail run I thought it was just a new race fuel you were trying out?"

Peter - "It's actually not bad once you get them in your ears, and get used to the grease running down you neck...oh ya but let them Cool down a little first before trying to fit them"

Bob - "what if  they attract a bear we have seen a few around and I even just seen some tracks back there on the trail??? I know I can't out run a bear and I don't think you could outrun a bear??"

Peter- " I'm not to worried, I don't have to outrun the bear I just have to outrun you"
Bob - " Oh...  (long hesitation.......)  OOHHHH!"
