All I can say is, I wish people would quit going to chocolate races and wasting the chocolate!!   wink

The results are at chiptime results.

I sure hope you ladies got your fill at the end because it doesn't appear that you spent much time eating at the aid stations.   rolleyes

Way to go all of you!  Great results!!

Congratulations to Nancie who was 4th overall and 3rd in her age group for the 14k.  Good thing for the 3 ladies in front of you that you were injured.  wink

Did you notice too that the AGs were Under 45 and Over 45?  And of the top four, three of them were 45+?  And they also beat the men!

I see Petra broke two hours!  Congratulations to her!!  But what a waste of those chocolate stations.

And considering that Patti and Cathy were going to each chocolate, they were awfully quick too.  I would NEVER have been able to keep up to them!

OMG what a great race!!! Anyone who knows me that with the exception of dark chocolate I NEVER SAY NO to chocolate.  I think the choc fountain was the best...strawberry and marshmellow on a stick dipped in choc..Yum Yum!!
Great tshirts and edible medals, ice cream afterwards.
The only negative was that there was one toilet on the long course none for short course!!! And they described it as a flat course.  They lied.  The only flat was through some of the subdivisions, but overall a very beautiful course, fun company and one that should be penciled in for next!!

Yes, it was a great race.  I really enjoyed the course, didn't even mind too much that it was not flat.  And of course I'm pretty happy with my time.
And by the way, I had a pouch on my fuel belt that was reserved for chocolate, so althought I wasn't eating it on the course it's being eaten as we speak. grin grin  You should know me better than to think I would be wasting chocolate  shocked !!  Not to mention the big chocolate and pb icecream I enjoyed at the end.

Congratulations to Nancie, you had an awesome race (I guess it was not a leisurely run after all?!?)
Also congratulations to both Patti and Cathy who were both in quite a bit of pain during the run and still finished great (does chocolate work as a pain killer?).

Definitely a race for next year!

I am definitely in for next years race too!   It was a good time with good company and a really good Italian restuarant!
Although I didn't stop for any chocolate during the run I won a really nice bag of dark chocolate.  Came in first in my age group because the other 3 ladies were first , second & third!   I loved the fact that the first 3 of us were over 45 years old! It was a good race, even found some poor guy to talk to the entire race,  even held my water bottle once or twice. ( I am sure he will avoid the race next year!)
Congratulations to Petra for a great race meeting another PB.   It was fun cheering you on to the finish line, you always sprint to the finish!  Congratulations to Patti and Cathy for actually stopping to savour the chocolate which is what the run was all about.

Petra, you actually slowed down to collect the chocolate???

Nancie, you kill me!  Only you could find someone to carry your water bottle for you!  Was he the guy who came in right behind you??

Cathy & Patti  -- pain???  What was that about???

Jane,  he came in with me,  I think we had the same time!
Petra had an extra pouch filled with chocolate,  can you imagine what her time would have been if she didn't stop for all that!
It was fun,  next year I do need hill work to do this.  It was not flat & back as in the description.   I know Patti mentioned this already but my body feels all the hills today!
