We did the 8K a few years ago when it was held in November.  It was pretty cold that day, that might be why they moved it to Oct.  I remember it was flat and mostly on trails.  I am trying to remember other details - I am pretty sure that Cathy won shoes.  This was her year of winning shoes at every race she went to.... haha  We went out for brunch afterwards with Laurie Sweetman and Derrick Spafford and his wife were also there.  A small restaurant - but I can't tell you what the name was or even where it was, but the food was good.  It is all about the food!!  I have pictures somewhere.  If I can find them, I will post them or a link.  We had a good time.  But we usually do --  roflmaob
