Hey ladies and gents, I was riding on this loveley sunny day today of which i took in some hills (thinking of ya D) cycling the whole stretch of Fish and Game club road. To make a long story short....... i was attacked by a dog at 137 Fish & Game club road (close to Hwy 14) and would have been bitten if it wasn't for unclipping and kicking him. I am fine but very, very scary. I have NEVER been so afraid in my life of a dog attacking me. SO... i just want to let the cycling, running and walking world know to be very careful around dogs but especially at this address. I have called the Police and we are dealing with it now. Keep your head up and your ears open while riding on any roads. Do everyone a favour.... report any dogs that attack even if they don't bite you as the animal control center needs a "history" if a dog is unsafe to others and other measures to be implemented. Train safe!

Glad to here you made it through unscathed. Dog owners don't seem to understand the dangerous situation it creates when there dogs don't stay on their property. Everytime I get chased or charged by a dog I always think, what if it was a child riding their bike past this house. Last year a dog chased me across a main road and got killed by a minivan. Not a good day for the dog, the dog owner, the minivan driver or me. The next day the dog owner had posted a sign saying "Slow Down". I had to resist posting my own sign saying" Keep Your Dogs Under Control". Thanks for the heads up on Fish and Game Club rd.

Hi Angela, glad to hear you are fine, due to going on the offensive!! We know that dog and have fealt his wrath. I would love to have the guts or smarts to pack a taeser. Not only for the the owner but, for the dog too.... You guys know what I mean; there is a dog that is bigger than Adam but on the west end of that same road and that dog has a twin! Normally we run through that area and it is hilly. Dennis made a comment the lst time we were out Johnstown way. I heard his message. By the way, Vasa has landed in Frankford.

Glad you're okay...too bad the dog had to suffer for the inconsiderate owner though. I know there are a few dog owners who should be on the receiving end of one of those kicks.
BTW, be careful near Foxboro on Frankford Road as well....

I have been running Frankford Rd. between hwy. 62 and Wallbridge Loyalist Rd. for over 10 yrs and have never seen a dog running loose. Where are you talking about? I haven't run that stretch in 6 months or so...perhaps it's a "new dog in town?"

the dog is on Fish and Game club road which is one road north of Frankford road travelling between hwy 33 and hwy 14 (not 62 and wallbridge). be careful and report him if he is on the road. We need a record to have the owner do anything to improve his behaviour too! enjoy!

I'm sorry, but I can't share "The Moose1's" pity for the "suffering" that the poor dog had to endure. I agree absolutely that the owner is responsible, but the fact remains that the dog attacked Angela and as such will be very, very low on my list of creatures deserving pity.
