For those that like to plan, most of us will be at Loyalist college Sunday April 19 doing either the 5k or 10k Pitter Patter race.  Who's in?

I haven't registered yet.  Trying to decide if I want to do 5K, 10K or just not do it and do my long run instead.

I won a good door prize last year.  Hmmm.... maybe I should go and do my long run on Sat.

I am planning on doing my long run Sunday and I think I'll do the same thing I did last year.  I'll run 14 miles and time it so that I end my 14 right about the time the race starts, and do my last 6 miles as a race participant.  It worked out well last year, I had a girlfriend get me registered, she had my bib all ready to pin on and I only had to wait about 10 min. Gave me time to stretch my tired quad muscles!!!   But I'll tell you, around mile 18 (mile 4 for everyone else) I wanted to slap a big sign on my back saying "I ran 14 miles before all you guys even started!!!!".  I was running pretty slowly by that point and wanted everyone to know why!!!!
