If you run with music (yuck) you have probably polled someone along the way as to what they listen to, well I run to movies (at least on the treadmill, haven't figured out how to take it with me yet) and because the weather is frightful and I actually like running on the TM I've been watching a few.  What do you watch on the TM?

Movies I've seen in the last two weeks:

Elf (thank you Nancie)
Butterfly Effect
We Are Marshall
Reign Over Me
Music and Lyrics

I could have a movie chock full of Brad Pitt nude scenes and I would still hate running on a treadmill.  why do you say "yuck" to running with music??  I say YUCK to running on treadmills...I'd almost rather miss my run altogether I hate them that much.  Is there any way to overcome a ridiculous hatred of treadmills?  counselling?

I love running on my TM...have done 8 hours at once but I haterunning with music inside or out.  It messes with my mojo, gets me out of sync and then I can't think about other things.  I was watching Happy Feet this am and every song screwed with my tempo so I had to switch to something else.  We Are Marshall was an engaging movie to watch.  Chatty I find the same with my bike trainer as you do with your TM so I like to watch movies with sub titles or LOTS of action and that keeps me focused on that and away from the monotany of the trainer.

Other movies I've enjoyed this month:
The Story of Us
Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants
Stepford Wives (new one)
Cat in the Hat (not so much)
Madagascar (can't wait for the sequel)
Bruce Almighty (ok)

Sandy,

Judging by all those movies this month, I'd say your kick'n butt in the base training!  grin  Good on ya!

I haven't found councelling helpful.  A foot of snow and some -30 windchill makes it seem a lot better though.

I'm like Sandy--on the treadmill, I prefer to watch movies than listen to music.  I actually love to watch some of my favourite tv shows on DVD...Seinfeld or Friends are always great.  I also have discovered it's a great way to check out some new shows as well...I recently rented the first Mad Men...which wasn't too bad at all  I would always rather run outdoors but find that this time of year, I end up on the treadmill more often than not so why not keep it interesting?

Interesting conversation I had at work yesterday.  They are getting TVs installed at the gym here and we were discussing whether they were going to have satellite TV or movies or what.  And one guy said, "Well I can't see why they would have movies.  People wouldn't stay on a treadmill long enough to watch a movie."  I don't think he was referring to the time limitations they might impose for use - like how they restrict you to half an hour during busy times.  I told him that I know lots of people who watch movies while running on TMs.  He said, "Not whole movies."  I said YES WHOLE MOVIES.  He seemed so shocked by this that I didn't tell him I know people who would run long enough to watch four or more movies in a session (Quote from Sandy above - "have done 8 hours at once").   laugh

Still running on the TM in the sunny south!!!  Taking it outside when I can but I find my speed work easier on the TM.  UNFORTUNATELY I can't watch movies but have watched lots of news.

Have seen two movies while we've been here...4 Christmases....sorry Patti but nothing to write home about (literally so I won't say anymore) and Bolt...very funny!!

Got one to add to the list "The Dark Night" .I don't need any reason to run inside in the warmth but this movie made Sunday's run just fly... actually ran long.

Saw Kung foo panda (funny)
and watched Death Racer, lots of car scenes, blood and guts, but it made the time pass quickly. Oh yeah, my personal favourite would be watching football, nothing like making 2 minutes seem like 20, oh yeah it does take 20 minutes for the last 2 too finish evil ( I live in a sports ruled family).
