People who have nothing better to do with their time.  I delete them as soon as I see them.  DON'T open anything that looks fishy.

The same thing happened on one of the Armwrestling forums I am on. It started out pretty much the same except it was in Chinese...and if you clicked on anything they had written, it would send you to an advertisement (computers/cameras..etc). Eventually it got so bad our administrator just deleted them. police

Did an upgrade and banned some users. I still need to upgrade the board another level. Until then, please report any spammy posts to myself or Sandy. Thanks!

OK, this just made me laugh -- not because of all the junk posts.  But when I was reading Millsy's post, I was looking at Sandy's avatar and thinking it was her posting it.  And I thought -- when did Sandy take up ARM WRESTLING????  Then I thought she was posting it as a joke.   Then I realized that it was Millsy posting!  Not that there is anything wrong with arm wrestling.  But I was trying to picture Sandy doing it!   Wham! Wham! Wham!   Sorry - that was the closest emoticon I could find to arm wrestling -- I know it is boxing.  laugh laugh

I like the blue background on the forum, by the way.

We may have to stick with it for a while Jane. The spammers are coming out of the woodwork and with all the updates it will be immpossible to make a skin that will work on every upgrade. Maybe I'll just make Sandy's site blue to match the forum. ;) Looks like we stopped the spammers.......for now anyway. :)

Does anyone see the irony in the 3 TriandRun ads jammed in the middle of this particular thread?

Not that you don't have the right...it is your forum, but look at the title of the thread vs. the content.

I thought it was worth a chuckle anyway.

I fixed it. Thanks Jane. I had applied an update and forgot to re-apply the "are you human" question on signup.  bongbong

Hey, no bad intentions.

C'mon, lighten up.  It's funny.  wink

Okay maybe it's just my computer, because when I look at the normal forum, they're there.  But when I reply, they're gone...
???????????

Not that it matters anyway, I was just trying to share a laugh.

The ads are placed "by design" at the top right and after the 3,5,7,10th posts. They help pay the bills. :)

Tha "spammers" pay for nothing and sometimes post offensive material. Thay are "bots" programmed to search out vulnerable sites and post their trash.
