My husband and I are beginners but we can't run together without bringing our 1 yr old with us so we're always looking for stroller-friendly trails.  We have one of those big bike trailors that double as a jogging stroller (MEC) but it's heavy and not hill-friendly.

Normally we use the trail behind our house (we live in Frankford) but we like variety....so, we went to batawa but the hill was too big and took hubby forever to push our daughter up it.  The trails before the Ski hill (nearer to the parking lot) were ok as long as it hadn't rained.  Oh, and  Presqu'ile was GREAT, too, in any weather.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Kim

You could try Hanna Park near McGill Street in Trenton.  I know that Janet Allaire has pushed Ashley in her running stroller in there.

In Frankford, is it the old railbed that you used it on?  It is really nice and runs north from Frankford as well.

Yes, it's the old Frankford Railbed that we're using and LOVE it.  There couldn't be a better trail for the double-wide bike trailor, especially the part of the trail near our house (north of Frankford) since it's newly gravelled, grated and widened (I've actually seen a car drive down it!  - illegally of course).  However, when my husband and I run together (with our daughter) it's the closest thing we have to a 'date'  grin so it's nice to try out other trails to make out 'date' more interesting.  So, thanks for the suggestions Jane & Chattyfeet... we'll give them a try!!

I've only been to it once, and not sure if I really remember clearly, but I thought Goodrich loomis was a pretty wide trail. NOt a very far drive from Trenton, and it was quite pretty there.
