I just wanted to take this moment to thank Shannon for being there whenever an ear was needed.
Thank you for running with me when everyone else had stuff to do or were on other runs.
Thanks for driving us to numerous events.
Thanks for sharing those many rooms and all that food we carried with us.
Thanks for the shoulders that you offered when I needed one.
Thanks for the laughs we had with you.
Thanks for sharing  Izzie's puppyhood with us.
Thanks for sharing your son.  He is a pet and a good pal I am sure.
Thanks for being you, you are so special.
Thanks for never doubting yourself.  You can accomplish everything that you desire.

Thank you for everything that you have done for me and I am sure that you will continue to do for me as time goes on.  You are a good friend and I have enjoyed our time.  I hope to visit you and continue to share moments with you for a long time.  I wish you luck and much happiness.

I will miss you.

I hope that everyone can add their thoughts here before Shannon's time and computer communication time expires.  I want her to leave with good thoughts and cherished memories to carry her to her destination.

Take care Shannon and remember .........

WE WILL FIND YOU AND COME TO RUN.

We said goodbye to Shannon tonight at the running group.  I felt sad but I feel that it is not really goodbye with the way the world is now.  And Shannon has assured us she will be checking us out on this forum and staying in touch that way.  Plus there is also Facebook to keep in touch.

But it still won't be the same as having Shannon out there running with us.  It has been a lot of fun, running with you Shannon and watching you achieve your goals.  We had lots of great times travelling in that van of yours with the Thule luggage carrier crammed full of Run for the Toad bags and other running paraphenalia (sp?).   Other times that I have fond memories of are our trip to London to do the half marathon.  Running in the snow that one Sunday afternoon a couple of winters ago when we thought we were never going to get done!  All the long runs we did together -- seeing your ponytail swishing behind you!

I know at some point we will all run together again - whether it is in a trip down to Oklahoma, or when you come back here again.   So.... I guess I can't quit running until that happens!  cool (not that I was going to).

Hello Everyone!
Thank you for all your warm wishes and kind words.  I've arrived safe and sound in Oklahoma on Sunday, and with only one "tornado watch" area to drive through! lol  My eyes were not only on the road but on the sky too!  I guess thats just something I must get used to.
I've gone out for a run every morning and the weather is warm, but not muggy.  It's a nice change.  Makes me a little more tolerant I think.  Izzy comes with me too of course, she wouldn't want to miss a run.
The roads are narrow and the drivers here don't move over but thats okay, at least I'm out!  :)
Have a great summer everyone, I'm looking forward to seeing the race reports!   Oh, and Cathy.......I want to see those pictures of your new do!

Oh ya, I almost forgot......something to think about:  http://www.okcmarathon.com/
Free accomodation, and a tour guide too!
