Hi Everyone,
As you all heard, we are trying to raise some funds for the Angel Hair program as Cathy is loosing her locks and giving it to them so that wigs can be made.  But these wigs cost money to make, so the more funds we have the better.  I thought of having this yard sale, because I have a lot of clutter to get rid.  I'm donating my items to this great cause.  I am calling out to all runners/bikers/swimmers,  athletes!  You have stuff at home that I know you don't want anymore, just take a look around.  I'm sure you don't want to bother with a yard sale either because thats too much work and you would rather be running or biking or whatever.  Let me take care of your clutter.  Call me and I can pick it up for you or we can find some space at the clubhouse (I got permission).  Remember, these must be donated.
Yard sale will be at the clubhouse parking lot, June 14th......early....  Pass it on, we want a lot of attention!

Call me Shannon at 613 849-8331
Or Contact Cathy

Things to look for......Fun Run Hair Raisers
Raffle tickets to the lucky person who gets to chop the mop!
Also, pledge sheets are available at the clubhouse.

I think I have a couple of bins here of stuff from a previous yard sale.  I will dig those out and find some more stuff to get rid of too.

So, should we also have a "yard sale" fun run that day?  Maybe we can say that everyone who comes has to bring at least one thing to donate to be sold?  How about a small bake sale?  We could all bring something baked to be sold too.

I would presume that anything brought could be sold.  But watch out.  You bring baked goods and they could be bought before we even get to yard sale.     laugh laugh

Doesn't matter who buys them, as long as they generate some revenue for the cause, right?

Well it looks like the yardsale is already shaping up to be a good one.  We are selling stuff right out of the hall.

THANKS to all who have donated.  This is going to be a blast.  We are already making money without even setting up and pricing.

You guys ROCK.

Thanks again for all the support.

So what you are saying is that people are bringing stuff to get rid of buying other people's stuff?   cheesy  That reminds me of a few years ago, Donna and I pricing our stuff for a yard sale on Friday night and buying stuff from each other as we were doing it.

I am going to bring a plastic patio table to set stuff up on.  The table will NOT be for sale, just the stuff on it.  Do we have a contingency plan in the event of sudden rain?  I have one tarp I can bring to cover stuff.

OOO, good idea Jane, I'll bring my tarp too.  Thanks for the table,t hat really helps on keeping stuff off the ground.  If anyone else has one of those portable tables for lending that would be greatly appreciated.
It will be soooo cool to see the look on the garage sale'rs faces when they see the runners take off for a fun run! lol

OK, I will take the task on of working the yardsale.  You go running.  I've not been to many yardsales.  This could be one of my firsts.  haha

Heck, you only need one person to hold the fort.  I can do that till you get back.  Susan said she would be there too.
Fun fun fun!

I wanted to pass on my sincere thanks to everyone who chipped in for the successful yard sale that we had today.  The weather turned out perfect with only a few sprinkles.  I'm not sure on the exact amount that we raised, perhaps Cathy would like to announce that herself. Don't want to steal her thunder! :)
But I know it's got to be over 200 or maybe even 300 dollars.  :)
Thanks to all the supporters that came out today, and Jane for those yummy tarts!  (My thighs love you).  :)
