Hmm,
Been a little lax in my race reporting, sorry guys.  The good news is I enjoyed myself immensley, the bad news, my name wasn't drawn for the Cervelo bike evil, but I did win a nice warm up jacket.  Who new that the quiet Kevin Beattie was so speedy, he was overall winner for the male tri's, and Rebecca was overall for the females. Wow!  Me, I improved my bike (that time included both transitions so I was happy) still room for improvement in my swim and run, but I felt good coming across the finsh line.  The weather was awesome, if anything a bit chilly on the bike (my toes were cold cheesy),but the bbq and ice cream was sure tasty at the finish line.  Mark enjoyed himself, finished before his goal time, even after his calf cramped in his T2, and walking up the hill.  So i guess he's still up for Peterborough.  Great race, well organized, great volunteers (160 of them for 200+ athletes), door prizes, food, good way to start the season!

P.S Jane, hula girl told me to tell you "hi", and that you'd know who she was laugh

laugh  Yes, I do know who she is!  Joanne Gunning!  She is so funny - that is her cheering outfit!

Yes, the weather certainly was better than last year!  I was looking at photos on Facebook that another girl that I know had posted and it looked great!

What a great race report and great race Janet.  Good at cutting off your previous bike time.

And tell Mark congratulations on surpassing his goal on his first event1

People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them.
