Hello, my name is Cathy Warren .  I have somewhat longish hair and have had  for probably most of my life.  I can only remember one other major haircut since birth..  I have made the decision to cut my hair and donate same to the Cancer Society and specifically to Angel Hair.  This is an organization that makes wigs for children that have cancer.

Now anyone that know me  knows that my hair is farely long.  I am estimating that we can harvest close to 100 cm of hair.  The Cancer Society would like each donor to give 10 inches of hair minimum because it takes 10 inches of hair and approximately $800.00 to produce one wig.   My son who in the past year has cut 13 inches off his hair has just handed me his  to add to the donation as well.

My hopes are to have a 5k run from the Quinte Fun Runners/Big Ring Tri Club Clubhouse on our usual  Fun Run Saturday, date to be announced shortly.

I guess at this point  I am looking for anyone interested in helping me to organize a FUN RUN and haircut.  I have a few ideas (from several individuals) and want some assistance in putting  together a FUN and WORTHWHILE event.

Please post any interest or opinions here.

I truly appreciate your assistance.

Hi Everyone.  I have joined the Cathy Warren/Angel Hair team.  I made contact with a lady over at the Cancer Society and have a package to work with so that we can have a few successful events.  All we need is a little of your time.  As they say "many hands make light work".
So, if you are interested please post, or PM Cathy or me and then we can setup a meeting to bounce a few ideas.

So....who wants to cut off her hair???? evil  C' mon!   I know you wanna....  :)

Thanks Janet and Susan for pitching in.  We will have to plan a meeting ASAP to go over ideas and dates.  My project manager, Shannon has the paperwork so that will require some looking at, probably just on my part.  Heres hoping for a fun and profitable Fun Run.

Thanks again girls.

Not that anyone eats anything at these events, but  Just in case I would be willing to supply some snacks.  If you are interested just need some heads up so I can figure out what I am going to do.

Thanks
