Clean shoes or no clean shoes, I think I just want to NEST.  Any lessons as how to nest or is it just when the mood strikes you kind of thing?

Ahhh, my secret.  I keep my shoes clean because I'm more aerodynamic! lol rolleyes
Na, I just like the look.  So my secret is really this.  First you must have a stiff brush, but not too stiff that it would damage the shoe, just a stiff nylon like brush and flick away any dry dirt.  Must be dry because you know what happens when dirt gets wet.  It spreads.  So once you have brushed every crevice of the shoe, I then get out my tub of  Oxy clean (it's a powder)  I make a gritty paste with it.  I spread it onto the white of the shoe, rub small circles and let it set for 30min.  Then with a damp, not wet, but damp cloth, I wipe the paste off the shoe.  As for the mesh part, well I only slightly wet that area with my rag that already has the paste on it.  If I get any drips in the shoe, I stuff it with newspaper and stand them by the dehumidifier.  Yes.  I do love my shoes.  You should see how I treat my pumps!

No you know.

oh my, i would never be able to find the TIME to do that, esp. while training for a marathon!  I don't think I've ever heard of anyone liking their shoes that much!  And what would frustrate me the most, is that after all of that work, one long run would dirty them up again!
