I am so disappointed that I didn't get signed up for the Marine Corps.  I guess I don't get to be your roommate Jane! sad
I am thinking of signing up for the Ottawa Half when I get home though.  I'm not sure what I should be running right now to do that as I was tapering for Mississauga. I ran 8k this am and man was it  hot and humid.  We left in such a hurry I never thought to bring my salt pills too!  Talk to you guys soon!

Hi Sue,  good to hear from you!  And sorry about your brother-in-law.

That is really too bad that you didn't get into the Marine Corps Marathon.  They do say on the website that between July 30 and Sep 30 people can transfer their bib to someone else for a transfer fee of $25.  So if you could pick up another person's bib you could still go.  Someone on Runningmania is already saying they have an injury that may mean they can't train.  So all hope is not lost yet!  It would cost you an extra $25 though.

Not sure what you should be running either, but we are on our taper, so it shouldn't make too much difference, since you have been tapering anyhow.  Heather and I don't have an actual program but we are running 10K at the Spring Thaw on Sunday.  And the fun run tomorrow.

I am sure that no matter what you do in the next two weeks (short of getting injured), it won't make a difference in your run.

Hmmm.... wonder if Petra still has two rooms booked for Ottawa???

Sue if you can throw a 12-15k in mid week, a 10k on the 17th and then you're golden!

Thanks Sandy for your advice on what I should be doing, I really appreciate it. I probably can't get a 12k-15k untill probably untill Friday or Saturday as we are taking an extra day to drive home.  I'm hoping to be home on Thursday. I did another 8k today and thought about doing the 21k that I would have been doing in Mississauga but knew I better not do that if I'm going to run in Ottawa.  I did get registered today! Yeah!
